Visual Colour Grading System: Comparator 3000

The Lovibond Comparator 3000 is a professional visual colour grading system designed for fast, precise and repeatable visual colour comparison in accordance with internationally recognised industry standards. Featuring a unique three-field viewing system, the Comparator 3000 enables direct comparison between a sample and two adjacent colour standards simultaneously, making it easier to achieve an accurate visual match and verify compliance with defined colour limits.

The Comparator 3000 operates using certified Lovibond® glass colour standards housed in rotating discs, viewed alongside the sample under controlled illumination. The three-section field of view displays the sample in the centre with two consecutive reference colours on either side, allowing rapid interpolation and improved confidence in colour decisions.

A tungsten-halogen light source colour-corrected to CIE Standard Illuminant C ensures stable and repeatable lighting conditions, independent of ambient light. For EBC applications, the system uses Illuminant B, as required by the standard.
