Visual Colour Comparator: Model F
The Lovibond Model F is a precision visual colour comparator designed for the standardised visual colour measurement of transparent and semi-transparent liquids, as well as selected reflective solids when used with optional accessories. Based on the internationally recognised Lovibond® Colour Scale, the Model F provides reliable, repeatable and traceable colour grading in laboratories where visual assessment remains a specified or preferred method.
The Model F operates on the classical Lovibond® Tintometer principle, comparing the colour of a sample against calibrated glass colour standards under controlled illumination and fixed optical geometry. The instrument presents two adjacent fields of view – one containing the sample and the other a white reference surface – allowing precise visual colour matching using sliding racks of Lovibond® Red, Yellow, Blue and Neutral glass filters.
